Hi everyone! This is Chris and I am a student from NWS. I am from Taipei, Taiwan, and I am a senior in high school. I speak Chinese and English. I have lived in the dormitory in Seattle for four years. I have been to a lot of different countries such as France, Japan, and China several times and I am willing to learn different cultural. I know there are many guys that are interesting in basketball, and so do I. I am also interesting in many other sports, and they are a part of my life. Come find me in Seattle at any time, and I am sure all the International students in NWS is willing to get to know you. Once again, nice to meet you all!
Sup everyone! I am Albert and i am a senior. I came from Moscow, Russia to the Northwest School as an international student. I can speak both Russian and English pretty good , and currently now i am trying to learn French and Chinese.
I am very into sports. I absolutely love running, and in fact, i am in the Cross-country and Track team of the Northwest. These sports are closely connected with my love of spending time outdoors. I would prefer spend most of my time outdoors if there was a possibility. Going for a walk will be more pleasurable for me, rather than sitting , and for example - watching a TV show. But just going for a walk would be rather boring, so music usually is accompanying me. I love hip hop and rap genres, and sometimes pop music

Rome's Introduction

Hi, my name is Rome and I speak Chinese and English.  I am from Taichung, Taiwan like many of you are. I am glad that this blog is up and running. This is the first time we have ever done this. I am very excited to read and see many of your posts. First, I will give a brief introduction of myself. I have been in the Northwest School since 2013 after finishing junior high school in Taiwan. I have enjoyed studying in the U.S. because of the variety of activities we can get in touch with. For example, basketball is one of the extra-curricular activities I participate outside of school. It is a biggest commitment I have made because I love playing basketball and being on a team with people in our school. I, as well as my teammates, am looking forward to winning something unprecedented in our school history. I think we have the elements we need to be able to achieve this goal. This year, I am applying to college. To be able to get into college, I have to finish many tasks such as essays, tests, and personal information. This time of the year is no doubt the busiest in my high school career, but I think it is very worth it because I get to learn how to be responsible for myself as an adult. Anyway, it has been a pleasure getting in touch with you all and I look forward to sharing our thoughts and ideas on this blog page!

Something about Shirley

Hi, my name is Shirley and I am a senior from the Northwest School. I come from Chongqing, a city located in Southwest China surrounded by plenty of mountains. Chongqing is one of the four municipalities in China and it is also the biggest one. It is a city that has lots of docks and extreme hot humid summers. I speak both English and Mandarin. This is my third year studying in Seattle and it is such a great place although it rains a lot. One thing that I really love to do is drawing and I have been self-taught for a long time. I do watercolor and people's portraits most of the time but I am also interested in other kind of paintings. The music I like to listen to is k-pop and I watch a lot of Korean TV shows. I do no have a particular favorite food but anything that tastes sweet will make my day; while on the other hand, celery and coriander can just simply ruin everything. The biggest dilemma in my life is that I have this keen affection towards cats, especially kittens, but at the same time I am actually allergic to them. The color I really like recently is mustard and the color I have always adored is baby pink.
Anyway, I hope that I can talk more with all of you in the future!

Hello People :D

Hey, my name is Joe. I am currently studying in The Northwest School ever since my sophomore year. But I came to a public high school for my freshman year.
The experience in public high school and in private high school is pretty different. Classes in public school are more simple than here. Also, they lack interactions between teachers and students which made class become kind of boring. Meanwhile, public high schools generally have more students than private high school. So one might not even know everyone in one’s grade when they become a senior. However, things change a lot in The Northwest School. Here you will be able to know everyone in your grade. This makes one feels like being in a community. Classes are also smaller in size than public high school. You will be able to talk to your teacher during your class period.

Speaking about life in dorm, I would say it is great comparing to other dorms I know. We have a X-Box in our lounge. But I prefer to play some games on PC, such as League of Legends and World of Warcraft. This sometimes also bothered me a lot since I am struggling between playing video games or reading books. Mostly, I would choose the second one.

Intro

Hi! My name is Seo-young. I am from Seoul, Korea. I have been in Seattle since 2014 and I am currently a senior in the Northwest School. Before I came to this school, I attended a really big public High school and actually it was pretty chaotic for me, not only because I was a freshman in that school, but also I was new to Seattle. I was born and raised most of my life in Korea and almost everything in Seattle was very interesting, yet still terrifying for me. However, it has been almost three years since then and now I am completely used to this new culture and the city. I actually love being in another country and experiencing new culture, food, and education. One of the things that I do on my leisure time, is shopping! I even just like to walk along the downtown area and browse around the stores. Most of my friends come from many other countries and some of my best friends are from Taiwan Too! It is really nice to meet you guys all even though it is via online! I am looking forward to get to know all of you and I hope this opportunity will help me learn more about France, Ethiopia, and Taiwan :))

Greetings from Seattle

Hi everyone! This is Brenda and I am currently a senior at Northwest school just like many of us here. I was born in Melbourne, Australia and was brought to and raised in Shanghai, China. After graduating middle school, my family moved to Seattle. Now I have stepped into my fourth year studying and living in Seattle. During the thousands of days, I have grown more more more affection towards this beautiful city each year I spent in here. At school, I work as the teacher's assistant for Chinese language class during free periods. During my leisure time, I take ballet classes on a weekly basis as a personal habit since I was little. Aside from those, I really enjoy listening to K-pop and watching various hilarious Korean TV shows  with my friends. I am really looking forward to be interacting with you guys this year and learn all the interesting stuff across the globe! :D

Introduction

Hi! My name is Nao. I am 18 years old from Osaka, Japan! I studied in Singapore for 4 years and I now a senior at high school in Seattle. My parents live in Japan, so I often go back to Japan. I speak Japanese and English! I have an older sister who lives in Taiwan, so I have been to Taiwan couple of times, and I really enjoyed the food there. I am applying to The American University of Paris this fall so I would really love to read and know more about life in France. I have a friends who have lived in Ethiopia for few months and Ethiopia is one of the many places I would love to visit, and I also love Ethiopian food, so I am really excited to know more about culture and tradition from all of you! I love traveling around, getting to know people, food (both cooking and eating) and animals except for birds, especially pigeons and crows. Whenever I see pigeons and crows on the street, I usually either wait for about 5 minutes until they fly away or cross the street.
