Introduction

Hi! My name is Nao. I am 18 years old from Osaka, Japan! I studied in Singapore for 4 years and I now an a senior at high school in Seattle. My parents live in Japan, so I often go back to Japan. I speak Japanese and English! I have an older sister who lives in Taiwan, so I have been to Taiwan couple of times, and I really enjoyed the food there. I am applying to The American University of Paris this fall so I would really love to read and know more about life in France. I have a friends who have lived in Ethiopia for few months and Ethiopia is one of the many places I would love to visit, and I also love Ethiopian food, so I am really excited to know more about culture and tradition from all of you! I love traveling around, getting to know people, food (both cooking and eating) and animals except for birds, especially pigeons and crows. Whenever I see pigeons and crows on the street, I usually either wait for about 5 minutes until they fly away or cross the street.

Hi everyone! My name is Claire and I am a senior this year in The Northwest School. I was born in China and came to Seattle last year. I can speak Chinese and English. I love to watch entertaining television show that are funny; especially The Running Man from China. It makes me feel relaxed. I am also practicing drawing and painting so that I can become a good designer in the future. Other than that I also have a passion in cooking! Although I am still in the process of improving on my cooking skills, I enjoy trying it and watching other people cook.

Hello! My name is Jasmine. I am a senior at the Northwest School. I have been in Seattle since 2013. It is a nice city except for the high frequency of rain during winter. I am working on my college applications recently. Most schools I am applying to are in California because I like how it is sunny almost every day. I come from Shanghai, China. I speak Mandarin and English. I am also trying to learn some Korean now. Something interesting about me is that I can understand many Chinese dialects because of my family background. My mother comes from Beijing, so I can understand some slang from there. My father is from Hunan province, where has a dialect that is very hard to understand. Since he and my relatives talks in that dialect all the time, I can understand some of it. I have been living in Shanghai since I was born. Therefore, I can understand most of its dialect and speak a little. Moreover, There are four or five more that I can also understand because they sound similar to those I know. I like to sing, listen to music and go shopping in my leisure time :)

I have never been to Taiwan, France nor Ethiopia before. I would love to know more about you and your hometown :) Nice to meet you all.

       Hello everyone, my name is Boyan, I am from China, and I had lived in three different countries. I have lived in China, Poland, and USA, therefore, I learned the culture different between the three countries and their way of life. I watched more than 300 movies over six years, I really love to watch movies and I learned English very quick when listening to English movies.
